Standings Update – Post “Paine to Pain”

• Women’s Series Standings to date •

• Men’s Series Standings to date •

FIVE races in the 2024 Trail Mix Series are complete!

There are TWO REMAINING Trail Mix Series Races (see links below).

Run the Farm 10/27 • Raven Rocks Run 11/10

We have sorted the races to date by best 4 races scored to date (omitting the lowest race if 5 races were run).

This highlights the runners who have completed more Trail Mix Series races over the runners who placed higher in the standings but have not run as many races in the series.

Those other runners might potentially catch some of the higher runners if they do more races in the series. These standings reflect the cumulative points effort to date – and you can always sort the table by average per race if you want.

Women’s Series

There are 47 women who have raced in 2 or more Trail Mix Series races in 2024. Many have run 3 or more races. Any who have finished 4 or more have qualified for automatic lottery selection after entering into the Leatherman’s Loop Lottery in 2025.

In the women’s 2024 trail mix series, Barbara Basbanes Richter has finished all five races to date in the 2024 Trail Mix. Barbara maintains her points lead over Lindsey Felling who stays in second place in total series points with three races compete.

Barbara along with Mary Brower are the only women who have finished all five of the 2024 races to date. Mary is in 7th place overall.

Cassandra Ring is third overall with three trail mix races completed. Teren Block is fourth and Allison Bell is fifth.

Emily Rebori and Mary Brower are sixth and seventh. Rounding out the top 10 are Celine Varin, Amy Falder, and Mary Fasciana.

Men’s Series

There are 108 men who have raced in 2 or more Trail Mix Series races in 2024. Many have run 3 or more races. Any who have finished 4 or more have qualified for automatic lottery selection after entering into the Leatherman’s Loop Lottery in 2025.

Eamonn Sullivan has placed first in each of the four Trail Mix Races this year and is ranked first overall in the series. It is now mathematically impossible for anyone but Eamonn to finish first in the men’s 2024 Trail Mix Series. Congratulations to Eamonn!

The battle for second place is on! It is currently held by Chris Irwin with Todd Henrich third overall. Todd has a lower than normal showing in the Leatherman’s Loop and if he drops it with a top showing in one of the last two races he will close the gap with Chris. Of course if Chris continues as he has run then he will be tough to catch.

Gerry Sullivan is ranked fourth overall with four races completed to date. He can also close the gap with a top finish in one of the next two races.

William Fraoili is in fifth place with good finishes in four of the five races to date. Josh Omin is sixth just below William in total score.

Richard Peck is in seventh place with four races finished.

Edmund Dee is in eighth place with only 3 races complete. Ed can vault close to 2nd place with a top 3 showing in Run the Farm and/or Raven Rocks.

Paul Viscontini is currently in ninth place after three races and has a great average. He will be very close to 2nd place as well with a top 3 finish in an upcoming race.

Aryeh Abelow is in tenth place with Ethan Knecht very close behind in 11th place.

These standings are based on the best 4 races total points earned to date so they highlight and favor runners who have completed more Trail Mix Series Races. As we get closer to series completion the standings will change and some of the runners who have fewer races but higher standings will pop up higher in the standing to take over some of the top spots — but they have to finish the races first!

We are looking forward to see what Run the Farm brings on October 27th as the Series continues in October.

The standings list will shrink after we add the sixth race which will cause eligible runners with 3 races or more to be shown. Don’t let yourself fall off the standings!

If you haven’t started the 2024 series yet — you don’t need to run in the series to race in these trail races – they are open to any who want to run! When you are ready for the challenge, we’re here for you!

The remaining races in the series are:

Next Standings Update will be published after Run the Farm.

Standings Update – Summer 2024

Women’s Series Standings to date

Men’s Series Standings to date

THREE races in the 2024 Trail Mix Series are complete!

There are FOUR REMAINING Trail Mix Series Races (see links below).

Where the Pavement Ends 9/8Paine to Pain 9/29Run the Farm 10/27Raven Rocks Run 11/10

We have sorted the races to date by total points scored to date (not by an average per race). This highlights the runners who have completed more Trail Mix Series races over the runners who placed higher in the standings but have not run as many races in the series. Those other runners might potentially catch some of the front runners if they do more races in the series. These standings reflect the cumulative points effort to date – and you can always sort the table by average per race if you want.

Women’s Series

In the women’s trail mix series, Lindsay Felling is leading – winning two of the three Trail Mix races she entered so far in 2024 and placing high in the third. She is followed by Barbara Basbanes Richter who has completed all three of the 2024 Trail Mix races.

Cassandra Ring is third overall with two trail mix races completed. Teren Block is fourth and Harriet Menocal is fifth.

Mary Brower and Allison Bell are sixth and seventh. Rounding out the top 10 with strong showings in two of the three races are Emily Rebori, Colleen Stapleton, and Julie Shulman.

Men’s Series

Eamonn Sullivan has placed first in each of the three Trail Mix Races this year and is ranked first overall in the series.

Second place is held by Todd Henrich and third overall is held by Gerry Sullivan.

Edit: Will Sargisson is actually 4th overall currently after the Fall races. We have updated the official results in the Men’s Series Standings.

Josh Omin and Arnaldo Guerrero are ranked fourth and fifth in the series to date.

Tommy Ross and Chris Irwin placed very high in the two Trail Mix races they ran this year to date, placing them in sixth and seventh place, respectively. Drew Accomando, Eric Foxhall, and Paul Viscontini round out the men’s top 10.

These standings are based on the total points earned to date so they highlight and favor runners who have completed more Trail Mix Series Races. As more races are completed the standings will change.

We are looking forward to see what Where the Pavement Ends brings on September 8th as the Series resumes in the fall.

The standings list is sure to shrink as we pass the fifth race which causes only series-scoring eligible runners will be shown. Don’t let yourself fall off the standings!

You don’t need to run in the series to race in these trail races – they are open to any who want to run! When you are ready for the challenge, we’re here for you!

SIX races in the 2019 Trail Mix Series are compete! Only one more to go! — Raven Rocks Run.

Lindsey Felling is took over first place with a strong showing at Run the Farm. She also has a win at Sarah Bishop and two other top performances at the Leatherman’s Loop and Paine to Pain. Lindsey has four Trail Mix races complete. Christina Thomson (F40 leader, 3 races) and Katie Hulme (FJr leader, 4 races) are ranked #2 and #3. Alix Cotumaccio (F40) and Keely Cheslack-Postava (F40) round out the top 5 with three and four races, respectively.

Karen Haitoff leads in the F50 category with three races to date. Karen’s daughter Rita Haitoff (3 races) is the youngest Trail Mix competitor in the field at 9 going on 10.

With only one more race in the series, any runner with three races completed needs to finish Raven Rocks to qualify for final scoring and the automatic selection upon entry into the Loop Lottery 2020.

Of special note — Susan Burke is the only woman to run FIVE of the SIX Trail Mix Series races in 2019. No woman has run all races in 2019, unlike past years where there was always at least one.

Men’s 2019 Standings to Date

There are 78 men who are currently eligible for scoring in the Trail Mix Series.

Eamonn Sullivan leads the 2019 Trail Mix men’s division.

Eamonn Sullivan leads — he won A Mild Sprain, came in as a top 3 finisher at the Loop, and won Run the Farm. Past Trail Mix series winner Luis Francisco vaulted into second overall with five races complete. Kevin Hoyt has run in 4 of the 6 Trail Mix races and is in third place. He has already qualified for an automatic selection in the Loop Lottery this coming January.

Jacob Benesch is next up in fourth overall – and Jacob has again run in all six of the Trail Mix Series races to date. Christopher Irwin has reached fifth place overall with four races complete.

Bill Bradsell (4 races) has won the M50 category each of the last three years and is on track to repeat.

Shane Waring is leading the 13 & under division with Jackson Bieber on his heels. Ed Moore (4 races) has taken over the M60 category with William Hurlin (3 races) and Michael Brown (3 races) just behind.

James “Poppy” McGough leads the M70 category with 5 of the 6 trail mix races completed. Nick Ohnell is on his tail with 4 races complete.

Of special note 5 male runners — Jacob Benesch, Bryan Wujcik, Gerard Mattia, Charles Vaccaro, and Andrew Chasen have all run every Trail Mix Series race to date in 2019.

Mr Trail Mix

“Mr Trail Mix” Charles Vaccaro at Run the Farm 2019

Charles Vaccaro has run in EVERY SINGLE TRAIL MIX RACE EVER! The series was started in 2014 and Charlie has done all thirty-TWO races in that span. He’s the only one with that streak. He is officially “Mr Trail Mix!”

There is ONE more race in the series (Raven Rocks Run) — that means if you have run in at least three races in the series to date you can still finish the 2019 series by running this last race — and get your final score and become eligible for the 2020 Loop Lottery!

Of course you don’t need to run in the series to race in these trail races. They are open to everyone!

The remaining race in the series is:

PS: Let us know if you notice an error in the standings and we will address it – email trailmixseries@gmail.com. The most common glitch is registering under slightly different names for different trail mix races. We can fix this and all other issues. Thanks!

Standings Update Post Sarah Bishop 2019

Women’s Series Standings to dateMen’s Series Standings to date

Four races in the 2019 Trail Mix Series are compete!

In the women’s trail mix series, Jacqueline Kehoe is leading – winning both Trail Mix races she entered in 2019. She is followed by Lily Day who won Where the Pavement Ends – her only trail mix race.

Last year’s Trail Mix champ Lindsey Felling is a close third overall. Kelsey Crawford is fourth overall and Allison Gadaleta is fifth. These standings are sure to change after Paine to Pain since many runners only have one Trail Mix race in the bag now.

On the men’s side it is up for grabs – with at least 10 men having at least one strong finish under their belt. Will McDonough is leading on the strength of his Leatherman’s Loop overall win – but that is his only Trail Mix race to date. Eamonn Sullivan has two races under his belt and one of those was a win, putting him in second place overall. He needs to run in two of the three remaining races to complete the series for scoring.

There are eight other men who are within striking distance of the top score, but only one of them has more than one finish: Kevin Hoyt. Kevin has run in all four of the Trail Mix races to date. This means he is among just 14 men and one woman to have a complete series to date.

We are looking forward to see what Paine to Pain brings this coming weekend with the standings. Many one-and-done runners will be out of the running for a complete 2019 Trail Mix Series. Many runners are well on their way to qualify though.

The age group category standing require more study and will become more clear as runners are eliminated from qualifying. More to come in the post-P2P recap.

You don’t need to run in the series to race in these trail races – they are open to any who want to run! When you are ready for the challenge, we’re here for you!
