Standings Update – Post “Paine to Pain”

• Women’s Series Standings to date •

• Men’s Series Standings to date •

FIVE races in the 2024 Trail Mix Series are complete!

There are TWO REMAINING Trail Mix Series Races (see links below).

Run the Farm 10/27 • Raven Rocks Run 11/10

We have sorted the races to date by best 4 races scored to date (omitting the lowest race if 5 races were run).

This highlights the runners who have completed more Trail Mix Series races over the runners who placed higher in the standings but have not run as many races in the series.

Those other runners might potentially catch some of the higher runners if they do more races in the series. These standings reflect the cumulative points effort to date – and you can always sort the table by average per race if you want.

Women’s Series

There are 47 women who have raced in 2 or more Trail Mix Series races in 2024. Many have run 3 or more races. Any who have finished 4 or more have qualified for automatic lottery selection after entering into the Leatherman’s Loop Lottery in 2025.

In the women’s 2024 trail mix series, Barbara Basbanes Richter has finished all five races to date in the 2024 Trail Mix. Barbara maintains her points lead over Lindsey Felling who stays in second place in total series points with three races compete.

Barbara along with Mary Brower are the only women who have finished all five of the 2024 races to date. Mary is in 7th place overall.

Cassandra Ring is third overall with three trail mix races completed. Teren Block is fourth and Allison Bell is fifth.

Emily Rebori and Mary Brower are sixth and seventh. Rounding out the top 10 are Celine Varin, Amy Falder, and Mary Fasciana.

Men’s Series

There are 110 men who have raced in 2 or more Trail Mix Series races in 2024. Many have run 3 or more races. Any who have finished 4 or more have qualified for automatic lottery selection after entering into the Leatherman’s Loop Lottery in 2025.

Eamonn Sullivan has placed first in each of the four Trail Mix Races this year and is ranked first overall in the series. It is now mathematically impossible for anyone but Eamonn to finish first in the men’s 2024 Trail Mix Series. Congratulations to Eamonn!

The battle for second place is on! It is currently held by Chris Irwin with Todd Henrich third overall. Todd has a lower than normal showing in the Leatherman’s Loop and if he drops it with a top showing in one of the last two races he will close the gap with Chris. Of course if Chris continues as he has run then he will be tough to catch.

Gerry Sullivan is ranked fourth overall with four races completed to date. He can also close the gap with a top finish in one of the next two races.

Josh Omin is in fifth place with good finishes in four of the five races to date. Edmund Dee is in sixth place with only 3 races complete. Ed can vault into 2nd place with a top 3 showing in Run the Farm and/or Raven Rocks.

Paul Viscontini is currently in seventh place after three races and has a great average. He will be very close to 2nd place as well with a top 3 finish in an upcoming race.

Aryeh Abelow is in eighth place with Ethan Knecht and Jordan Cramer notching 9th and 10th places respectively.

These standings are based on the best 4 races total points earned to date so they highlight and favor runners who have completed more Trail Mix Series Races. As we get closer to series completion the standings will change and some of the runners who have fewer races but higher standings will pop up higher in the standing to take over some of the top spots — but they have to finish the races first!

We are looking forward to see what Run the Farm brings on October 27th as the Series continues in October.

The standings list will shrink after we add the sixth race which will cause eligible runners with 3 races or more to be shown. Don’t let yourself fall off the standings!

If you haven’t started the 2024 series yet — you don’t need to run in the series to race in these trail races – they are open to any who want to run! When you are ready for the challenge, we’re here for you!

The remaining races in the series are:

Sign up today! Hope to see you on the trails!

Next Standings Update will be published after Run the Farm.

Please let us know any errors or omissions. Thanks!

Standings Update – Post “Where the Pavement Ends”

• Women’s Series Standings to date •

• Men’s Series Standings to date •

FOUR races in the 2024 Trail Mix Series are complete!

There are THREE REMAINING Trail Mix Series Races (see links below).

Paine to Pain 9/29 • Run the Farm 10/27 • Raven Rocks Run 11/10

We have sorted the races to date by total points scored to date (not by an average per race).

This highlights the runners who have completed more Trail Mix Series races over the runners who placed higher in the standings but have not run as many races in the series.

Those other runners might potentially catch some of the front runners if they do more races in the series. These standings reflect the cumulative points effort to date – and you can always sort the table by average per race if you want.

Women’s Series

In the women’s 2024 trail mix series, Barbara Basbanes Richter has taken over the points lead from Lindsey Felling who is now in second place in total series points with three races compete. Barbara has completed all four of the 2024 races to date – only one other woman has done that this year – Mary Brower who is currently 6th in points overall.

Cassandra Ring is third overall with three trail mix races completed. Teren Block is fourth and Allison Bell is fifth.

Emily Rebori and Mary Brower are sixth and seventh. Rounding out the top 10 are Harriet Menocal, Vanessa Wilson, and Mea Sgaglio.

Men’s Series

Eamonn Sullivan has placed first in each of the four Trail Mix Races this year and is ranked first overall in the series.

Second place is held by Todd Henrich and third overall is held by Gerry Sullivan. Both runners have run in all four 2024 Trail Mix Series races.

Chris Irwin is ranked fourth overall with only three races completed to date. He has a chance to leap into second place with a good showing in one of the next races in the series.

Jordan Cramer springs into fifth place with good finishes in three of the races to date. Michael McKenna is just a few hundredths of a point behind him in sixth.

Will Sargisson holds onto a top 10 spot — currently in seventh place after the three spring races.

Harry Chiel is in eighth place with  Eric Foxhall and Ed Moore coming in at 9th and 10th.

These standings are based on the total points earned to date so they highlight and favor runners who have completed more Trail Mix Series Races. As more races are completed the standings will change and some of the runners who have fewer races but higher standings will bubble up from below to take some of the top spots — but they have to finish the races first!

We are looking forward to see what Paine to Pain brings on September 29th as the Series resumes in the fall.

The standings list is sure to shrink as we add the fifth race which causes only series-scoring eligible runners will be shown. Don’t let yourself fall off the standings!

If you haven’t started the 2024 series yet — you don’t need to run in the series to race in these trail races – they are open to any who want to run! When you are ready for the challenge, we’re here for you!

How it looks after 5 races complete in Trail Mix Series

medallion-scan-mod-bw-2There are currently 32 women and 81 men eligible to complete the Trail Mix Series for 2016. Already 18 of those women and 42 of the men have the necessary 4 races in the series for automatic selection upon their entry into the Leatherman’s Loop Lottery 2017. That already exceeds the 2015 total for women completing the series, and it is just 10 shy of the men’s total for 2015. And there’s one more race to go: Raven Rocks!

Chelsea Ellis leads the women’s 2016 series despite missing the past two races in the series. With her overall wins in A Mild Sprain and Where the Pavement Ends, she has a significant lead over second place. She needs to finish high up in Raven Rocks as her fourth race to claim the 2016 Trail Mix women’s title.

Lindsay Obrig is a strong second in the women’s series and she has already completed 4 races in the series. With a strong showing at Raven Rocks, she can drop her lowest points total and improve her average score. Teren Block has a solid hold on third position and is leading the F50 category. Anne Heinrichs (F30) and Sydney Bieber (FKd) are #4 and #5 and lead their categories as well. Asha Grossberndt has the women’s 15-19 category locked up.

Nicholas Roosa came to the 2016 Trail Mix party late, but is feasting on the main courses! He has won Where the Pavement Ends, Sarah Bishop Bushwhack, and Run The Farm to find himself on the top position with a perfect 100 point average. He still must finish his fourth race – and high enough to fight off the close competition.

Speaking of close competition, Luis Francisco is in second by just 1/3 of a point behind Nicholas with 3 races complete as well. Luis won Raven Rocks last year and it will be quite a battle if Nicholas and Luis go head-to-head at Raven Rocks in a few weeks.

Both Nicholas and Luis have one more race to complete for the series, but Virgil Bretz in 3rd place has already completed his four races and can only improve his series average at this point. He’s just 1/3 of a point behind Luis and 2/3 of a point behind Nicholas. Matt Bedoukian and Josh Faust are 4th and 5th respectively. Both are guaranteed finishers of the Trail Mix series, and Josh has run in all five of the series races to date.

Eamonn Sullivan leads in the 14 & under male category. Ryan Pufahl has the male 15-19 category won. Bill Bradsell has the M50 category sewn up with 5 races completed and an insurmountable lead. The same is true for M60 and Joe Mokszycki as well as Nick Ohnell and the M70 category. Congratulations to all of the early winners – Raven Rocks will be a victory lap for you!

Four women have completed all five of the Trail Mix races to date in 2016. Fifteen men have done the same!

Charles Vaccaro is the only runner to complete ALL of the Trail Mix races from 2014-present. That’s a whopping 14 races to date! Eric Foxhall and Jerre Skeats have run in 13 of the 14 races to date. We appreciate and admire their commitment and dedication to trail running!

raven_rocks_logo-with-text-below-200wWe hope to see you all at the sixth and final race in the series on November 13th, 2016: the Raven Rocks Run.

After the 2016 Trail Mix series is complete, we continue our Sunday Runs throughout the winter and into the spring. Highlights will include the Looper Bowl and Raven Lunatic group runs as well as some night runs that will open your eyes to new trail possibilities.
