Standings Update – Post “Where the Pavement Ends”

• Women’s Series Standings to date •

• Men’s Series Standings to date •

FOUR races in the 2024 Trail Mix Series are complete!

There are THREE REMAINING Trail Mix Series Races (see links below).

Paine to Pain 9/29 • Run the Farm 10/27 • Raven Rocks Run 11/10

We have sorted the races to date by total points scored to date (not by an average per race).

This highlights the runners who have completed more Trail Mix Series races over the runners who placed higher in the standings but have not run as many races in the series.

Those other runners might potentially catch some of the front runners if they do more races in the series. These standings reflect the cumulative points effort to date – and you can always sort the table by average per race if you want.

Women’s Series

In the women’s 2024 trail mix series, Barbara Basbanes Richter has taken over the points lead from Lindsey Felling who is now in second place in total series points with three races compete. Barbara has completed all four of the 2024 races to date – only one other woman has done that this year – Mary Brower who is currently 6th in points overall.

Cassandra Ring is third overall with three trail mix races completed. Teren Block is fourth and Allison Bell is fifth.

Emily Rebori and Mary Brower are sixth and seventh. Rounding out the top 10 are Harriet Menocal, Vanessa Wilson, and Mea Sgaglio.

Men’s Series

Eamonn Sullivan has placed first in each of the four Trail Mix Races this year and is ranked first overall in the series.

Second place is held by Todd Henrich and third overall is held by Gerry Sullivan. Both runners have run in all four 2024 Trail Mix Series races.

Chris Irwin is ranked fourth overall with only three races completed to date. He has a chance to leap into second place with a good showing in one of the next races in the series.

Jordan Cramer springs into fifth place with good finishes in three of the races to date. Michael McKenna is just a few hundredths of a point behind him in sixth.

Will Sargisson holds onto a top 10 spot — currently in seventh place after the three spring races.

Harry Chiel is in eighth place with  Eric Foxhall and Ed Moore coming in at 9th and 10th.

These standings are based on the total points earned to date so they highlight and favor runners who have completed more Trail Mix Series Races. As more races are completed the standings will change and some of the runners who have fewer races but higher standings will bubble up from below to take some of the top spots — but they have to finish the races first!

We are looking forward to see what Paine to Pain brings on September 29th as the Series resumes in the fall.

The standings list is sure to shrink as we add the fifth race which causes only series-scoring eligible runners will be shown. Don’t let yourself fall off the standings!

If you haven’t started the 2024 series yet — you don’t need to run in the series to race in these trail races – they are open to any who want to run! When you are ready for the challenge, we’re here for you!

The remaining races in the series are:

Sign up today! Hope to see you on the trails!

Next Standings Update will be published after Paine to Pain.

Please let us know any errors or omissions. Thanks!

Where The Pavement Ends – Trail Mix Race #3 – 9/17/17

Hello Trail Mix Runners!

The third race of the 2017 Trail Mix Trail Series is set to go on September 17th, 2017!
Where The Pavement Ends is held at Lake Windwing in Ridgefield CT. This year marks the 5th year of the race at the Ridgefield location. Race director Geoffrey Morris is getting ready for a big crowd.

Where the Pavement Ends is a fun and challenging trail race: fun for the everyday runner who can experience the beauty of these wonderful trails — and challenging for the competitive trail runner who can match up against the best racers in the northeast.

It’s 4-plus miles of sometimes narrow and hilly terrain. All of the muscles that never get any work from all of that road running will definitely be used on this course.  It is a great mix of fire road, single track, flats, hills, and one fast downhill section right towards the end.

Come to Lake Windwing and Run! We’re looking forward to seeing you there! Register here.

….David, Brant, Lee, Barry, Mark, Geoffrey, Rob, and Tony (the Trail Mix race directors)

PS: The fourth race in the Trail Mix series is called the Sarah Bishop Bushwhack and will be held on 9/24/17 at Mountain Lakes Park in North Salem, NY. More information on that race in an upcoming email – or click on the link above.

Standings Update – 3 of 6 Races Complete!

Three of the six Trail Mix Series races are complete for 2016. Three more remain – including the Sarah Bishop Bushwhack this Sunday 9/25.

The updated 2016 Trail Mix Standings are online now (Women’s | Men’s) Each column is sortable and the categories and runner names are searchable.

Remaining races in the 2016 Trail Mix Series are:

These races are ALL open for registration – sign up now using the links above.
Nearly 1,700 runners — 612 different women and 1,066 different men have participated in at least one of the first two Trail Mix Series events so far in 2016!

DSC_0469-1This is our 3rd Trail Mix series and we’re hoping to bring it to as many runners as possible!

If you ran in either the Leatherman’s Loop, A Mild Sprain, or Where the Pavement Ends then you are listed in the Trail Mix 2016 standings. If you did not run one of these 3 races unfortunately you can’t complete the Trail Mix Series for 2016 — but you can still register for the remaining races!

The benefits are multiple — even if you aren’t in the running to take your age category or the series: You get to hang out and race with some super (and modest) people. You get to visit and explore beautiful locations around Westchester and Fairfield Counties. And through trail racing you can connect back to nature in a way that road racing can’t match.

And if those reasons weren’t enough, there’s one more bonus: If you complete the series in 2016, you will get an automatic selection in the Leatherman’s Loop Lottery in January 2017 for the April 2017 Loop.

If you see a problem in the results or standings, please let us know ASAP. The most common problems are name differences between races (e.g. Liz and Elizabeth, Jim and James, etc.) Considering over 1,600 different runners are being tracked at this point it is not possible for us to automatically match names in the standings database with these minor differences (we need to fix them by hand). It will help immensely if you pick a “race name” and stick to it for the series races when you register. Your race series volunteers appreciate the help! 😉 If you have already registered using a different name, we can change it if you let us know.

Come on out – We’d love to see you on the trails and in the Mix!
